Business owners, Nancy McSpadden and Amanda Emery, are a mother and daughter who love to sew! Nancy's interest in sewing began when she enrolled in her junior high's home economics class. Although the teacher didn't think she held much promise, her mother and grandmother felt differently. They continued to encourage and tutor her in the art. By the time time Nancy was in high school, she was making all of her own clothes and gift items for friends and family. She got her first paid sewing job while working at a bank when she was 21. A co-worker asked her to make the bridesmaids' dresses for her daughter's wedding.
Naturally, when Amanda came along, Nancy made her clothes, as well. It didn't take long for Amanda to develop the same interest in sewing. She often took fabric scraps from her mom's stash to make clothes for her dolls. She even made a little tuxedo for a stuffed walrus she had. By the time Amanda was in high school, she was making some of her own clothes. But, Nancy made Amanda's prom dress and wedding dress.
The real catalyst for this business came when Amanda became pregnant with the first grandchild. Nancy got busy making lots of things for the nursery - crib sheets, receiving blankets, hooded towels, quilts, afghans, and more. As Amanda's friends saw the various items, they started requesting some of the items for their own babies or for shower gifts. With a lot of prompting from Amanda, eStudio60 was born.
Today, Nancy and Amanda put their creative minds and talents together to produce a wide range of hand-made gifts.
"We strive to make every item as though we are making it for ourselves or our loved ones. And, together, with our customers, we want to provide top-notch quality products at reasonable prices that everyone will be proud of. We like to say, 'If you can dream it up, we'll figure out how to make it happen.'"
