I have a friend, Shea, who is a 31
representative - you know, the cute bags with custom embroidery. Last year, my sweet friend had a burden for children going into foster care having to carry their few belongings in a trash bag to their new homes. She wanted them to have their very own duffel bags. She sought out sponsors and was able to provide about 50 kiddos with bags. Shea is definitely a hero!
Recently, Shea approached me about helping her with a new charity event. This year we are putting together "Chemo Care Sacks" for pediatric cancer patients. Have you ever known a child with cancer? They go through so much and yet we still see them smile. They are all heroes! The care sacks will be cinch sacks and I will be making super hero capes to put in them. I'm so excited for this opportunity! I'm going to embroider "I'm a Hero" on each cape.
This is such a great idea that I am formulating a plan to allow more people to participate. So, keep watching here, on Facebook, and on our Etsy store for more information about how YOU can Be a Hero!
